'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Trailer Is Here!
So, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 now has a full length trailer. If you have not seen it, here it is:
This trailer has everything we enjoyed about the first movie. And it now has us pondering what is actually going to happen in this film.
As stated by the Russo Bros., when Groot sacrificed himself to save the rest of the team, he did technically die. Baby Groot is a new version of him and therefore does not have the memories that old Groot had. So to show off Baby Groot and his interactions with Rocket was very important. He's adorable and I hope the humor of his character doesn't overshadow the already silly movie. I feel like he will be a fan favorite very fast in this film.
We then see the giant monster that was in the promo art that came out earlier this year. I still think it's not the main "villain" and I feel this monster is going to be in the beginning of the film, showing off what the Guardians have been up to. The thing I find interesting is the area in which they are fighting the monster. Looks a lot like some sort of dimensional doorway. Maybe it will tie in to Doctor Strange? I doubt it, but we can hope.
We also see a new character for the first time, Mantis (played by Pom Klementiff) who spills the beans about Peter Quill wanting to have sex with Gamora (and Drax laughing about it in the corner). It will be interesting to see how she plays into the group. But also raises the question, what about Nebula and Yondu? They were both in the teaser trailer, so why not this one?
Overall, this trailer looks amazing. Right before writing this, I had watched it about 7 times. I'm ready for some space battles and for Baby Groot to kick massive butt.
