We had heard at SDCC this past year that an Evil Dead series was being shopped around. Aside from that and Sam Raimi's involvement, we didn't know much. Today we've found out that The Evil Dead has recieved a 10-episode straight-to-series order from Starz with a 2015 premiere! The series will be titled Ash Vs. Evil Dead and it will reunite Raimi with superstar Bruce Campbell as Ash. Raimi co-wrote the first episode with his brother Ivan Raimi, and is set to direct it as well. The premise will be as follows...
“When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.”
