It appears Lionsgate has begun the process of casting their new team of Rangers for the upcoming Power Rangers reboot film. They've found their Pink Ranger aka Kimberly Hart in Naomi Scott (The Martian).
Lionsgate took to Instagram to make the casting announcement official:
Kimberly Hart was previously played by Amy Jo Johnson in the original series that debuted in the early 90's and portrayed the character for three seasons and two feature films before being written off the show. Power Rangers is set to be directed by Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) with a screenplay written by Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor). It's set to hit theaters on January 13th, 2017.
