Channing Tatum Talks About Gambit

By: Dave Clark

While doing press for 'Book of Life', Channing Tatum was asked by MTV about his upcoming role as Gambit. While its unknown if we'll see Gambit in a solo film or as a part of an upcoming X-Men film, we do know that he's high on the list of mutants we'll be seeing featured on the big screen soon.

I don’t want to give too much away because we don’t know that much right now other than who Gambit is. We really do want to try our hardest to give something fresh. We’re obviously going to go to the saving the world superhero movies eventually, but not for the first one.

Sounds like Tatum wants this movie to be well done, and make fans happy. He wants something new with this superhero story, and with Gambit I believe there's a wide opening for a different type of comic book movie...I'm a bit biased as Gambit is my favorite Marvel character.

But what do you guys think? Excited to see Channing Tatum as the Ragin' Cajun? Should he get his own solo film before jumping into an X-Men adventure? Are you still upset with the Gambit we got in X-Men Origins: Wolverine?
