Big news today as Variety is reporting that the cast for the upcoming DC/Warner Bros film Suicide Squad has been set!
Jared Leto as The Joker
Will Smith as Deadshot
Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg
Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn
Jai Courtney as Boomerang
Cara Delevinge as Enchantress
WB is also looking to cast Amanda Waller, their short list of potential actresses include Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Oprah Winfrey, whom sources say would be WB’s first choice for the part. The basic premise of the comic book based film centers on a team of villains who are selected to complete dangerous missions for the government to earn time reduced from their sentences. The catch...if they get out of line or try to escape, they die. Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters August 5th, 2016.
