Deadpool Confirmed!

Deadpool Movie Confirmed!

By: Dave Clark

We all saw the test footage of the potential Deadpool film with Ryan Reynolds providing his voice and motion capture. It left us all wondering when we'd get to see the real thing in a full feature capacity. Today we got news from Twentieth Century Fox that 'Deadpool' is coming to theaters on February 12, 2016. What's significant about the date? It means production will begin soon, and that it will release before 'X-Men: Apocalypse.' It's unconfirmed but expected that Reynolds will reprise the role and that writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland) will still get to see that script they wrote get some kind of treatment. Director Tim Miller is said to be directing the film as well.

Last we saw of "Deadpool" or at least a version of him, was in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' and well...it was disappointing but not to Reynolds' fault. The Merc with a Mouth is an extreme fan favorite and fans have been clamoring for this film with a better portrayal of Wade Wilson for a very long time.

Fox went on to move a couple other release dates, the Josh Trank helmed 'Fantastic Four' reboot will be moved to August 7th, 2015 and the Michael Fassbender led 'Assassin's Creed' is getting moved from 2015 and into a later, unreleased date.

Well, true believers, how excited are you? Are you worried we'll end up with another bad representation of Deadpool as we got in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' or are you optimistic that even though he might be singing 'Holla Back Girl' we'll still get the fourth wall breaking mercenary that we all know and love?
