By: Dave Clark

We finally have confirmation and sorry Liam Neeson, you'll not be needed this go round as Matt Nable (Riddick) has been cast to portray the leader of the League of Assassins, Ra's al Ghul. Stephen Amell tweeted the news before The CW confirmed it.

Nable will make his debut in the fourth episode of season three entitled "The Magician." The CW released a character description of this version of Ra's al Ghul:

Ra’s al Ghul is an iconic villain from the pages of DC Comics. He is the leader of the League of Assassins, and father of Nyssa al Ghul (played by Katrina Law). Proud and unforgiving, Ra’s is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. He carries the wisdom of the ages, and protects some of its greatest secrets.
