New Images From 'Suicide Squad'

This week we got a special look at the upcoming villain-based DC Comics/Warner Bros film Suicide Squad. Gracing the cover of Empire magazine is The Joker and Enchantress, with some behind the scenes images from the third installment of the DC Cinematic Universe. Check out the pictures in the gallery below!

Empire would go on to interview Leto about his role as The Joker, what he did to prepare and the new take on our favorite Clown Prince of Crime:

There was definitely a period of… detachment. I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn’t imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing those psychological games. It was painful, like giving birth out of my p***k-hole. If you don’t break rules, you’re not going to strike new ground.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer would expand a bit on Leto's performance and the character of The Joker:

There’s a power to that character and by some freaking miracle, through the incredible things Jared has done and the photography and all the other things that went into it, we’ve cooked up something transcendent. He’s scary.

The magazine would go on to interview Cara Delevingne as well, delving into her character of Enchantress and her human host, June Moone who becomes possessed by the villainous sorceress:

She’s an ancient sorceress. A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out. June is an adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in an terrible way.
