Well...Trailer-Palooza 2015 continues. Over the past month we've gotten new trailers for Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, X-Men: Apocalypse, Independence Day: Resurgence, and now Star Trek Beyond has joined them. We had originally been told that the trailer would premiere before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, when it releases later this week, but who can wait a few days? Check it out below:
I've really enjoyed this new series of Star Trek films, the first two having been directed by J.J. Abrams. Well, obviously he's out for this film as he was busy making the latest entry in the Star Wars franchise. Taking over for Abrams is Fast and Furious director alum Justin Lin. I think this looks fantastic and the Beastie Boys song playing over the trailer added some fun to the excitement as well. Also, Scotty himself, Simon Pegg had a hand in writing this film's script...so you know it'll be filled with laughs and sharp wit. What did you guys think? Star Trek Beyond is set to hit theaters on July 22nd, 2016 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella, Joe Taslim, Lydia Wilson, and Deep Roy.
