With the first and third seasons of both The Flash and Arrow, respectively, wrapping up, we should be getting more and more news about this spin-off series we'll be seeing during mid-season in 2016. Today the CW announced that Franz Drameh (Attack the Block and Edge of Tomorrow) has been cast as the character Jay Jackson. His character description is as follows:
“Jay Jackson, a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew. He’s a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.”
Sort of sounds like Victor Stone/Cyborg to me, but we know we'll see him debut in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Could he also perhaps be playing a version of Static? Maybe an all new character created just for the series? We'll have to wait to see!
The spin-off is set to star Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darvill, and Ciara Renée.
