Fox Orders Pilot for '24: Legacy'

By: Dave Clark

Fox announced today, that it has ordered a pilot for the show 24: Legacy, a 24 spin-off series of sorts, that would star a new cast of characters and would not include Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer. According to Fox the series will...

...revolve around a military hero’s return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back – compelling him to ask CTU for help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

So obviously we'd be getting a new Jack Bauer, and according to Dana Walden and Gary Newman (Chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group), the lead will be named Eric Carter but there is also a female co-lead who is a former head of CTU. Walden would go on to say, "never say never" pertaining to former cast members appearing in 24: Legacy. The pilot will also focus on "awakening sleeper cells" in America.

How do you guys feel about this news? Are you excited for more heart-pounding, intense, real-time action? Do you care that Jack Bauer won't be involved? Sound off below!
