This week Kyle, Tom, and Dave look back at the latest version of The Stand, adapted for a mini-series on the CBS All Access streaming platform. Tom brings his knowledge from the book, while he and Dave compare this version with the early 90’s version and Kyle enters the conversation fresh having never read the book or seen the earlier adaptation. They’ll talk about what they liked, didn’t like, and what they thought of the new ending created for this mini-series event.
This week we say “see ya later” to The Mandalorian but “hello” to The Stand. We take a look at the very first episode of the new CBS All Access mini-series The Stand, based on the Stephen King novel. We look back at the 1994 mini-series and compare some of the elements of both TV events and the book. Then we wrap up the second season of The Mandalorian and look ahead to the future of the series and the Star Wars universe at a whole.
This week we take a look at the news of the week with J.J. Abrams returning to the Star Wars saga he started, with news coming out that he'll be the writer and director of Episode IX!
