The upcoming 20th Century Fox film Gambit, starring Channing Tatum as the fan favorite X-Man Remy LeBeau has found it's director. Among the names up for the job were Bennett Miller (Capote, Moneyball, Foxcatcher) and Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, The Fighter, Black Swan), but the job goes to Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Gambler).
Gambit was previously portrayed by Taylor Kitsch in the not-so-great X-Men Origins: Wolverine film from 2009. Tatum will also produce with his creative partner Reid Carolin. The script was written by Josh Zetumer (RoboCop). Gambit is set to be released October 7th, 2016.
