We've been waiting for this news since we heard that Cable would be debuting in the sequel to the super successful Deadpool film. Names were bandied about for months up on months. Brad Pitt, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Kyle Chandler, and many more were up for the role. Today we've discovered that Josh Brolin will portray Nathan Summers aka Cable in Deadpool 2!
Brolin has apparently signed a deal to appear in four films which we'd like to assume includes Deadpool 3, X-Force, and maybe another X-Men flick or his own solo film? Who knows at this point? Brolin is no slouch in the comic book movie genre. He's appeared in Jonah Hex, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, as well as Thanos in the entire MCU.
Cable won't be the only new character introduced in the Deadpool sequel as Zazie Beetz will play Domino. David Leitch is set to direct the sequel that will hit theaters in 2018.
