With all the excitement and fervor over last week's Avengers: Infinity War trailer release and the subsequent record breaking ticket presales, it makes sense for studios to want to glomb onto that buzz. And why not keep it within the Marvel family? Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox released a brand new trailer for Deadpool 2 that gives us a much larger glimpse into what we can expect from the fourth wall breaking Merc with a Mouth.
Just as entertaining as the trailer itself, it seems those in charge of the FOX YouTube page had some fun with the video description as well...
“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
DP's R-Rated humor is present and accounted for immediately as the trailer begins and let's us know that Deadpool is set to protect a kid from Cable while creating a super-team called X-Force.
Returning for the action packed mutant fun in Deadpool 2 include Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams, and Karan Soni. Zazie Beetz (Domino), Josh Brolin (Cable), Jack Kesy (Black Tom Cassidy), Terry Crews, Eddie Marsan, Rob Delaney, and Bill Skarsgard are all joining Ryan Reynolds for the sequel when DP2 hits theaters on May 18, 2018.
