Since CBS announced they were going into the Superhero TV Show business and chose 'Supergirl' as its hero of choice, we had been waiting to see who would be cast as Kara Zor-El they estranged cousin of Superman. Today it was announced that Melissa Benoist (Glee, Whiplash)
Rumors have been swirling about a 'Supergirl' series coming to a network near you soon. Today we get confirmation that it will be on CBS next fall. CBS has committed to a season order which means they skipped right over the pilot stage.
