The Defenders Arrive In First Official Trailer

The Defenders are here! Here we get a good look at what the show is going to be giving us over 8 episodes. And thank goodness, because these 13 episode long shows are starting to drain me. But let’s talk about what we saw here and figure out whether or not we’re going to be excited!

Growing Up On Earth 2

I’m a white American male. About as typical as they come. As a white American male, I haven’t had to traverse the inherit hurdles that a lot of my culturally diverse peers have. Also, the world of American entertainment seemingly caters to my needs. Growing up I didn’t have to search high and low for a hero who looked like me. However, when I think back I don’t remember seeing my favorite heroes in this light. I didn’t see Batman as a white male hero. I saw him as the super detective protector of the innocent. He fought crime so that no other child would end up watching their parents murdered in front of their eyes. He punched faces in the name of honor and justice. I saw him that way and no way else because I didn’t have to try to see him in another way. As a boy, the television, the movie screen, the video games, and the comic books made the protagonists in my image. I didn’t know any other way, until I grew up.

5 Marvel Netflix Series We Should Have

As we have seen, Netflix & Marvel have been doing a pretty good job with making darker, more serious series that are within the same universe as the films. With the success of 2 seasons of Daredevil and a season of Jessica Jones, it's no wonder they want to expand with adding Iron Fist and Luke Cage. If they can continue with these, they will need to expand on some other lesser known heroes and villains. I've decided that I would take a crack at 5 characters I think would make a good Netflix series. Of course, I am excluding The Punisher from this list mainly because it seems to possibly be in the works and really, who wouldn't want to watch that?!

First Look at Marvel's Luke Cage!

Deep in the darkness of late Thursday night/Friday morning, Netflix released the much anticipated follow up season to Daredevil. It also surprised Netflix subscribers with a first look at the upcoming series, Luke Cage

Review: Jessica Jones S1

Review: Jessica Jones - Season One

Marvel's Daredevil was a huge hit. It captivated me throughout all thirteen binge-worthy episodes. It was a different view in the Marvel Universe. It gave us a look at the darker side of being a street level hero. Marvel's Jessica Jones takes that even further. Krysten Ritter portrays the angry and "thirsty" private detective Jessica Jones who is thrust into searching for a young girl named Hope. And that's our introduction into her world. Jessica's world is a dark world, and this show is very dark. It's not your usual Marvel production. There's violence, which we saw in Daredevil, but then there's sex. And not just once or twice, the adult content pops up a few times, so be warned. This show is not for the young ones.

Jessica Jones Set Pics

Set Photos From Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones

With Daredevil having been a complete and udder success (in this writer's humble opinion, see my review), production for the second Marvel series under the Defenders banner is under way. Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones has begun filming and some images from the set have emerged on Twitter and Instagram:

Review: Daredevil - Season One

April 10th, 2015 was a momentous day. Netflix and Marvel gave us all thirteen episodes of the first Marvel series to hit the streaming service, Daredevil. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and is just the beginning of a universe designed for Netflix but one that is still tied in with the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Eventually we'll see A.K.A. Jessica JonesLuke CageIron First and finally The Defenders. All of that will come in time, today I'm here to tell you what I thought of the first season of Daredevil and yes...it did wash away that horrible taste of the Ben Affleck film of the same name.

Supergirl TV Series Coming Soon?

This will be the year of Comic Book TV shows. We've had shows in the past, notably Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, and Smallville. More recently we have Arrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but this year we will see Gotham, Constantine, and The Flash join the fold. Netflix will premiere five shows available to stream from Marvel Television, Daredevil being the first in 2015 and then Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and eventually The Defenders. And now we're getting word that DC is shopping the idea of a Supergirl television show in the near future.

Daredevil Casting

Marvel/Netflix have officially cast their Daredevil!

News has broken that Marvel/Netflix have finally found their Daredevil. Comic fans will be pleased to know that Boardwalk Empire alumni Charlie Cox has been cast to play the daring crusader known as "Daredevil". Speculation on who would play Marvel's fearless hero has been running rampant, and we can now say with certainty that the character has officially been cast! What do you think of Charlie Cox being cast as "Daredevil"? We're always interested to know what you guys are thinking so feel free to send us your opinions towards this recent revelation!

Ms. Marvel Rumors

Has Ms. Marvel Been Cast?

Marvel has been busy fortifying their expansive cinematic universe. Renewing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and ordering Agent Carter to series. They also have a slew of shows in production for Netflix, set to release in early 2015, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage which will culminate in a miniseries called the Defenders. Now we have "news" that ABC's 'The Middle" star Eden Sher has been to the Marvel offices and has been given stacks of comics (for reasearch?). She's also been in Twitter communication with the current writer of Ms. Marvel. Personally I'd love to see Katee Sackhoff as Ms. Marvel. Is it possible she's up for the role of Ms. Marvel? Maybe Jessica Jones? What do you guys think? Was it just a special visit to promote the finale of 'The Middle?' Was it more? Do you wanna see Ms. Marvel on the big screen?
