On March 22nd 2019, Atomic Geekdom hit the red carpet to talk with the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Join us on the red carpet and dive into the characters first hand. Season 9 has been a gift to us comic book readers with its adaptation of the comic. It was a blast talking with the cast on how they see their characters and where they want them to go.
Atomic Geekdom would like to give a BIG shout out and thank you to Paley Center for yet another great year of fan coverage with Paley Fest. The organization provides such considerable attention to media that we are truly grateful. Please be sure to check out their site (www.paleycenter.org) for membership opportunities and other upcoming events.
The year is over and we're already moving on to 2018, but before we begin to forget about the year that was, a few of us here at Atomic Geekdom decided to live in the past for this article. Here's our choices for the best of 2017 in Film, TV, Books, Music, and more!
Robert Kirkman is a busy man. He's got a huge hand in two AMC series (The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead) all while writing the comic for The Walking Dead and Outcast. And now, coming very soon to Cinemax, Outcast will be adapted for television. As we did at SDCC, we received another trailer for the upcoming series at NYCC. Check it out below!
For a gal with not a lot of spare time, I still manage to read a fair amount. I am known to always have a printed book, audiobook, comic book or magazine rolling at all times (usually more than just one). So I want to share with you the stuff I am currently absorbed in. Some will be new releases, other will be ones I am finally getting too. I hope you enjoy, and in turn hook me up with some fresh suggestions that I can tackle next week.
Even without an official name for the series, going only by the name 'Cobalt' during production, the companion series to The Walking Dead has already been given a two season order. The series, which will star Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, and Alycia Debnam Carey, will be set in Los Angeles and focus on these new characters and storylines. The first season will consist of six episodes and premiere on AMC this summer. The second season will air in 2016.
We are totally living in the Golden Age of television. Now now, I know people will argue that, but seriously…we are. Coming up with the top 10 of 2014 seemed easy, but it wasn’t for me at all. There is so much great television that I am harassed daily because I haven’t watched a particular show. I have FX’s Tyrant on my DVR still awaiting a watch. CW’s The 100 is anxiously awaiting a play and the guys on this particular website are at me to get Arrow started. There is seriously not enough time in the day for all of the great T.V. So here I go. My top 10 of 2014 and a few honorable mentions…
A few weeks ago we got news that AMC had ordered a pilot episode for a companion series of The Walking Dead. We weren't told much aside from Robert Kirkman's involvement along with showrunner Dave Erickson. But now, thanks to TVLine, we have a few summaries of some of the characters we may expect from the new series.
