Anti-Review: Spider-Man Homecoming

To say that Spider-Man: Homecoming is a great movie would, indeed, be a statement. It’d be an inaccurate statement but a statement it would remain.

Black Panther Looks...Awesome!

Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of T’Challa aka Black Panther was a highlight of Captain America: Civil War. It was a great introduction for the character’s previously announced solo film. Now Marvel has seen fit to start shoveling some coal on the Black Panther hype train by dropping a surprise poster and teaser trailer this weekend. I got a chance to check out the trailer, then I checked it out again, then one more time for good measure...then about 17 more times. So what did I think about it?

Review: Doctor Strange

Although "Captain America: Civil War" was the beginning of Marvel's third phase, the introduction of the Sorcerer Supreme is the REAL beginning. Being that this was the first story of a new character since Ant-Man back in 2015 (I'm not including Black Panther and Spider-Man because those were cameos), it really needed to push the boundaries to keep us intrigued. I know it got a lot of hype overseas and I did a pretty god job staying away from early reviews so that I wouldn't be spoiled, at least up until 2 hours before seeing it...thanks internet. This movie is the quintessential setup of the new line up of heroes which include Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and to a certain extent, Wasp. Would this movie live up to the hype of the rest of the franchise? Overall, there has yet to be a genuine flop, but over the last couple of years, I personally kept waiting for that shoe to drop, mainly when they first announced "Guardians of the Galaxy" and then later on with the announcement of "Ant-Man". I had the pleasure of not only seeing it on opening night, BUT was also able to see in the Regal's 4DX theater.

'Captain America: Civil War' Teaser Debuts!

Tonight during Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr. talked about the latest installment into the MCU, Captain America: Civil War. Kimmel made his jokes, and was generally entertaining, but he was teasing all day that we'd get a Civil War surprise tonight...and he did not disappoint.

Spider-Man Is Coming Home!

In a deal with Sony and Marvel Entertainment, Spider-Man is coming home...sort of. Part of this new deal allows a NEW Spider-Man to be in an upcoming Marvel Film. Sony will then release the next installment in the Spider-Man franchise on July 28, 2017 with Marvel's Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal co-producing. Marvel and Sony are also working on ways to collaborate by having other MCU characters entering Sony's Spider-verse.
