'Batman v Superman' Concept Art Emerges!

During SDCC we got up and close and personal with the costumes for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It seems to be the same case for NYCC as well, but we also got a glimpse at some pretty sweet concept art from costume designer Michael Wilkinson!

Scott Rudin to Produce 'Justice League Dark'

A project that has been eagerly anticipated (by me at least) but with no real news being reported about is Justice League Dark. There were rumblings that Guillermo Del Toro had written a script and was on board to direct, but now with all the work he's got on his plate, he'll transition over to a Producer role along with Scott Rudin (Steve JobsNo Country For Old Men). The Tracking Board is reporting that Rudin is currently looking to update the script and begin the search for a director for the film. Not much of the plot is known but if its anything like the DC Comics source material, it will revolve heavily around magic. The site also reports that it will begin shooting in 2016.

Constantine on Arrow!

Constantine To Return On Arrow!

While the TCA's are taking place this week (Today, The CW was presenting) we've received some awesome news. The grave to the recently canceled NBC series Constantine is no longer fresh, but today we've learned that Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine! Ryan will guest star in one episode of the fourth season of Arrow. Its something that's been in the works for quite some time, leading back to while Constantine's future was still in the air and Arrow star Stephen Amell went to Twitter to make an effort to save the series.

The Great Divide

Too many people let a simple thing like Company Brand dictate what they enjoy. As I sit here and write this, there’s two Marvel films in theaters. Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man are in a theater somewhere in this country. ANT-MAN has been made into a movie. Never in my wildest youth imagination would I have predicted that there would be a film based on the comic book character Ant-Man. Yes, I’m astonished, and I’m elated! I was NEVER a fan of Ant-Man in the comics. Hell, I was never a fan of Iron Man or Captain America either, and yet I’ve enjoyed both of their films and now have a greater enjoyment for their characters in the books. But I grew up loving X-Men…and Batman! Gasp! ‘He’s with that other company, not with the wonderful Marvel, how dare you sir!’ I know, it’s crazy. I love both companies' characters and stories. And my question I pose today…why don’t you?

Suicide Squad - SDCC First Look

New Arrow Costume

The Arrow Gets A New Look...And Name?

In the closing minutes of Season Three of Arrow, we saw Oliver and Felicity leaving Starling City. Oliver had given up the mantle of The Arrow and was leaving to be with Felicity. When Season Four starts, it looks like he'll be coming back with a fresh look. Stephen Amell took to Facebook and Twitter to reveal the new look minutes before the panel started at SDCC, he also tagged it "GreenArrow."

Flash S2 Casting!

The Flash Season Two Casting News!

In the closing hours of Day Three of SDCC, Warner Bros and DC Entertainment took over Hall H. We were promised panels from the staff and cast of The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Gotham. Not much was expected in the way of new footage as Arrow is about to begin production on Season 4 (Stephen Amell just wrapped his role as Casey Jones in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel) and The Flash is only a week into production on Season 2. But we did get some exciting news about casting! We learned that Patty Spivot will join the show played by Shantel VanSanten and after being teased in the finale of The Flash, Jay Garrick debuts played by Teddy Sears!

Batman v Superman Photos!

Thanks to EW.com, we've got some new photos from the upcoming mega movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The pictures show the trinity of heroes (Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman) as well as a good look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Take a look!

Decisions of A Geek Dad

Decisions of The Geek Dad

My life as a geek is a simple one. When there is a show or movie that I am interested in, I watch it. My life as a geek father is much more complicated. In all honesty, I do make it a bit more difficult by being fairly strict about the things I allow my children to watch. Then there are my personal geek preferences: Star Trek over Star Wars, DC over Marvel, Green Lantern over…everyone. As my son gets older, I am realizing that this is going to be more difficult than I thought it would be? How do I raise a young geek to have his own interests and not just imitating me? How do I expose him to all the wonders of the geekdom while keeping in mind age appropriateness?  How do I keep him from ever being interested in things like Twilight!?

Official Synopsis For 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'
