Once it was announced that Matt Reeves would be taking a stab at directing and writing the next entry into the vast catalog of Batman films, it was only a matter of time before we started getting production news. Over the last few months, we’ve learned the identity of the next man to take on the cape and cowl. 'Gotham' Gets Series Order And Trailer

Fox wasted no time in announcing that it was picking up the series 'Gotham' guaranteeing at least thirteen episodes. While I'm fairly confident they'll make it a full season, this is Fox we're talking about here. The series will serve as an origin story for Gotham City itself, along with several well known Batfamily characters. We'll see newly orphaned Bruce Wayne dealing with the loss of his parents. And if the teaser trailer is any indication, we'll see quite a few villainous faces as well. We're looking forward to this series, while praying that Fox does not screw this up as they have so many times before. What do you guys think? Excited for this new show? Ready for a side of the Bat we haven't seen on television or in the movies?
