The Defenders Arrive In First Official Trailer

The Defenders are here! Here we get a good look at what the show is going to be giving us over 8 episodes. And thank goodness, because these 13 episode long shows are starting to drain me. But let’s talk about what we saw here and figure out whether or not we’re going to be excited!

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Review

I just got out of seeing "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and I have things to tell you. I overall enjoyed the film, but I did have some small issues. Nothing that really ruined the film, but just felt off or out of place.

Titans & Young Justice: Outsiders Will Debut In 2018!

The level of “squee” that came out of my mouth when I heard about a live action Teen Titans was probably over 100 on the decibel scale (See: Chainsaws and fireworks).

Deadpool 2 Casts Cable!

We've been waiting for this news since we heard that Cable would be debuting in the sequel to the super successful Deadpool film. Names were bandied about for months up on months. Brad Pitt, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Kyle Chandler, and many more were up for the role. Today we've discovered that Josh Brolin will portray Nathan Summers aka Cable in Deadpool 2!

Superman Returns...for Supergirl Finale!

Coming off the heels of the announcement that Arrow will see two stars returning for the end of the season, Supergirl made news as well. Tyler Hoechlin opened the season by debuting as Earth-38's Superman, and he'll wrap up season two by appearing in the finale which airs on May 22nd! Kara's iconic cousin had previously served as a distant source of inspiration for her, but since he showed up for a couple episodes, he's let her face her challenges on her own. She's done well as the lone hero for National City (aside from Guardian stepping in from time to time...oh and Mon El) but it seems she'll need the Man of Steel's assistance in the season's final battle.

Key Characters Returning to Arrow

The first two seasons of Arrow are the main reason why we have such a rich and full DC Television Universe on The CW. The series gave us The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl due to it's success. While the current season has seen a slight return to that fun storytelling, it's also going to give us the return of two fan favorite characters. Deathstroke and Nyssa al Ghul are set to return to Star City!

Justice League: Come Together...But Not Right Now

Don’t hate me...but I disliked this trailer. Look, I am known for being a curmudgeon when it comes to the DCEU. I didn’t choose to not like these films or this universe. I just don’t. It doesn’t interest me, it doesn’t speak to me, it doesn’t leave me wanting more. This universe just leaves me wanting.

Joss Whedon To Direct Batgirl Film!

DC fans have been upset by the recent releases from the DC Extended Universe of films. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad have left an unending foul taste in their mouths, and they're less than optimistic that the upcoming Wonder Woman film will redeem the shared universe. However, today we get a glimmer of hope within this grey and gloomy universe Zack Snyder has created. Joss Whedon, a Geek God for many, has signed a deal to write, produce and direct a live action Batgirl standalone film.

Savitar 101

Season 3 of The Flash has finally given us our first look at the another villainous speedster, Savitar. But what do you really know about The God of Speed? At the very least you know his name and that’s a start. Well worry not, because I am here to give you some more insight into who this royal jackhole is.

Review: Doctor Strange

Although "Captain America: Civil War" was the beginning of Marvel's third phase, the introduction of the Sorcerer Supreme is the REAL beginning. Being that this was the first story of a new character since Ant-Man back in 2015 (I'm not including Black Panther and Spider-Man because those were cameos), it really needed to push the boundaries to keep us intrigued. I know it got a lot of hype overseas and I did a pretty god job staying away from early reviews so that I wouldn't be spoiled, at least up until 2 hours before seeing it...thanks internet. This movie is the quintessential setup of the new line up of heroes which include Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and to a certain extent, Wasp. Would this movie live up to the hype of the rest of the franchise? Overall, there has yet to be a genuine flop, but over the last couple of years, I personally kept waiting for that shoe to drop, mainly when they first announced "Guardians of the Galaxy" and then later on with the announcement of "Ant-Man". I had the pleasure of not only seeing it on opening night, BUT was also able to see in the Regal's 4DX theater.

New 'Wonder Woman' Trailer & Posters!

It's been a rough year for the DC Extended Universe. Batman v Superman disappointed so many fans. Suicide Squad, while making a lot of money at the box office, has been destroyed by critics. More recently, director Rick Famuyiwa has left The Flash only six months away from starting production. The only glimmer of hope on the horizon is what we've seen from Wonder Woman so far, and what we've seen has made many fans very excited. Today, we got to see even more! 'Logan' Teaser Hurts In The Right Places

We've heard for awhile now that Hugh Jackman's final turn as Wolverine would somehow be based upon the Old Man Logan storyline. We knew it would have to be modified quite a bit, as many characters from the Marvel Universe show up in the post apocalyptic future. Now we get our first look at what Logan may actually really be about. Check it out and enjoy the song:

'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Preview Shows More Ghost Rider!

The upcoming season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. already promises to be something different, which is a good thing. The last two seasons have been heavy with Inhumans and to me, it's been a bit boring. Season 4 will see the debut of Ghost Rider to the extended MCU in the form of Robbie Reyes played by Gabriel Luna. The Official AoS Twitter posted a new trailer that shows a lot more of Ghost Rider in action with the Agents. Check it out below:

Ben Affleck Teases Justice League Villain

Batman himself tweeted out a short little video on what appears to be the set of the upcoming DC/WB film Justice League. In this brief clip we see a hanger and what looks to be they Flying Fox in the background (speculation of course) that was reported by set visitors a few months ago indicating that it is indeed (possibly) the JL set. Oh did I forget to mention that front and center of the clip is DEATHSTROKE! Check it out!

Review: Suicide Squad

“The Worst Heroes Get the Best Reviews: Suicide Squad”

Sometimes studios have the tendency to burn a franchise to the ground. At least for me, the DCEU has all but sizzled out of redeemable qualities. I have been burned-out by the darkest films to ever see red and blue tights, and burned by a director who let his vision sacrifice the meaning behind the characters I love. Because of this tone, the next installment of the DCEU has worried me for a while. Would it be too over the top? Would it have too much responsibility on it to ameliorate the franchise and correct the mistakes of it’s predecessors? Would it suffer from trying way too hard to be Guardians or Deadpool-esque? Sitting in the theatre, finally seeing Suicide Squad, it is relieving to be able to say that it’s becoming a bit easier to breath in the DC universe.
